KENNESAW — Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park was transported 162 years into the past this weekend to commemorate the anniversary of the Battle of Kennesaw Mountain.
According to the battlefield’s website, the battle took place on June 27, 1864, during the American Civil War as General William Tecumseh Sherman made his way south toward Atlanta.
