Atlanta man arrested in Grady County following deputy pursuit, sheriff’s office says

GRADY COUNTY, Ga. (WCTV) – An Atlanta man is in custody after evading a traffic stop for speeding, according to the Grady County Sheriff’s Office.

Quintin Ponder was taken to the Grady County Detention Center and charged with felony fleeing and attempting to elude law enforcement, reckless driving, obstruction of a law enforcement officer, speeding, DUI and other traffic offenses.

Deputies say officers attempted to pull Ponder over after he was clocked driving at 94 mph in a 65 mph zone. He allegedly fled instead of pulling over and deputies ended the pursuit by successfully using a PIT maneuver.
