CANDLER COUNTY, Ga. (WTOC) – More than 20 dogs were rescued from “dangerous conditions” in Candler County on Thursday, according to a post from the Atlanta Humane Society.
The organization said Operation Humane rescued the animals from a property in southeast Georgia after receiving a call from the county sheriff’s office.
The dogs had been living outside in Georgia’s extreme heat with little protection from the elements. Atlanta Humane Society said they do not know the full extent of their medical needs at this point, but plan to complete full veterinary evaluations to determine any issues…
