Mercedes-Benz has officially opened a new $34 million technology center in Atlanta, marking a significant expansion of the automaker’s North American footprint and reinforcing the city’s growing reputation as a destination for technology and innovation.
The newly completed facility is designed to bring several of the company’s engineering, research and development, and technical services teams together under one roof. Company leaders say the investment will create hundreds of jobs while encouraging greater collaboration among employees working on the future of Mercedes-Benz vehicles.
The opening also represents another milestone in the company’s decision to strengthen its operations in the United States by centralizing key functions in one location.
