Atlanta’s tallest building might be getting an observation deck, which would make it one of the Southeast’s only major public observation decks — huge news for Atlanta’s Bank of America Plaza in Midtown

Atlanta’s tallest (and possibly most iconic) skyscraper, the Bank of America Plaza, colloquially known as the Pencil Building for its shape, might be getting an exciting new addition, and we’re here for it!

The Bank of America Plaza, or Atlanta’s famous Pencil Building, could be getting an observation deck, from which the public could go up and see the whole Atlanta skyline, as well as miles and miles of surrounding nature and city.

If it happens, it would be one of the only observation decks like that in the entire region–something the southeast in particular lacks, compared to other metropolitan areas like NYC, which has several skyscraper observation decks…
