A 75-Year-Old Georgia woman was shot while distributing food in an Atlanta community on Wednesday, July 15. The woman was found lying on the ground suffering from a gunshot wound in East Point by a local gas station.

Woman Hospitalized After Being Shot While Distributing Food In Atlanta Community
According to 11Alive News, the shooting happened near a Chevron gas station on Washington Road off Camp Creek Parkway. The 75-year-old Georgia woman shot was later identified as Dorothy Gordon.
FOX5 Atlanta reports Gordon was distributing food to people in need when gunshots rang out around 9:00 a.m. Gordon was shot and later rushed to Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta. Her son, Justin Gordon, told WSBTV that his mother is recovering, but she is in pain.
“She’s still in pain, but she is not as much pain as she was yesterday,” he said, later adding, “Nobody sane would shoot at nine o’clock in the morning. So it’s gotta be somebody way out just shooting at somebody.”
