ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) — A suspect is in custody following the fatal shooting of a 51-year-old woman who was caring for her elderly father, DeKalb County police announced.
Neico Lane, 38, faces a murder charge in connection with the death of Tanjaka Elder. Lane is currently in custody in Florida awaiting extradition back to DeKalb County.
Police said Elder was shot and killed on Friday at the home where she was staying to care for her 85-year-old father, Willie Elder. The shooting remains under active investigation, and authorities have not yet released a motive…
