ATLANTA — Atlanta police thwarted a bank robbery last month without incident. A man handed an Atlanta bank employee a note demanding $25,000, according to police. No one was hurt.
What happened: The robbery was reported at about 10:09 a.m. Aug. 25 at the Wells Fargo bank at 2204 Peachtree Road NW. Atlanta police said officers arrived while the robbery was still underway and surrounded the building.
