It didn’t take long for the bells to ring on September 1. Georgia made a huge splash on the first day of the Class of 2028 recruiting window. The Bulldogs nabbed a commitment from in-state prospect and five-star outfielder Peyton Ushery.
“Georgia was an easy choice. Being close to home and my family means more to me now than ever, and seeing their coaches at so many of my games showed me they were genuinely interested,” Ushery told Softball America. “When we finally talked, they made it clear they believed in me and felt I could help their program. My dad was born and raised in Atlanta and loved all the Georgia teams, so I feel like the University of Georgia represents him in so many ways — that makes this even more special.”
