Former Atlanta Mayor and current Democratic nominee for governor Keisha Lance Bottoms (above) held a press conference at a small grocery store in Lawrenceville on Wednesday, September 2, 2026. Bottoms was announcing her plan to attack the rising costs of groceries statewide.
Bottoms’ plan, the “Local Grocery and Family Essentials Tax Relief Plan,” is geared towards lowering the cost of living in Georgia by lowering the cost of groceries by taking the tax off.
