Hanleigh Deette Fossett, 27, of Marietta, is accused of operating a black Jeep Grand Cherokee under the influence of alcohol on Aug. 15 at 10:30 p.m. at the intersection of Cobb Parkway and Ellison Lakes Drive in Kennesaw, according to an arrest warrant from the Kennesaw Police Department.
Fossett was following a motorcycle in front of her with less than a car length between them. At one point, she almost hit the motorcycle. She was found to have bloodshot watery eyes along with slurred speech. Police observed several open containers in the vehicle’s back seat. Field sobriety testing was done and determined that she was not safe to drive. She was also driving without a valid Georgia driver’s license and had a non-operational side brake light, according to the warrant.
Fossett tried to bite an officer’s hand while he was reading implied consent. She then kicked him and slammed the patrol car door into him, causing him to almost fall down to the ground while she was in the back seat, according to the warrant…
