DeKalb officer injured after suspect fires at police during apartment standoff

A DeKalb County police officer was injured after a suspect allegedly opened fire on officers during a domestic incident that led to an hours-long standoff at a Stone Mountain apartment complex.

Police said officers responded around 11:23 p.m. Thursday to the Reserve at Stone Creek apartments on South Hairston Road for a domestic-related call involving an armed person.
