FOREST PARK, GA — Forest Park officials said Sunday that Issiah Bradley, 67, was found safe after being reported missing earlier in the week. Police said he was alert and in overall good health when he was located after an E911 call came in about a person down off Pine Ridge Road.
The update ended several days of concern for Bradley’s family and the city after officers began looking for him as a missing person. City officials said he had last been seen on Sept. 9, and a statewide missing-person alert had already been issued by the time he was found.
How police became aware of the missing-person case
Officers responded on Sept. 10 to the 4500 block of Mitchell Street in Forest Park after a missing-person report came in. When they arrived, they spoke with Eric Bradley, who told law enforcement that his brother, Issiah Bradley, had been missing since Friday, Sept. 4.
Eric Bradley also told police that Issiah Bradley has Alzheimer’s disease. According to the city’s release, that was one reason the family did not immediately report him missing. Eric said his brother had left the residence several times before and had later been located by police in different parts of the city.
A Sept. 9 police contact helped narrow the search
Forest Park patrol later said officers had made contact with Issiah Bradley on Sept. 9 at the intersection of Springdale Road and Davis Drive during an unrelated stolen-vehicle incident.
