An overnight collision claimed the life of a man who had gotten out of his vehicle after a crash on a DeKalb County highway.
Police said they responded around 1:44 a.m. Wednesday on a report of a man hit by a vehicle on Highway 78 eastbound past Mountain Industrial Boulevard. The man was found dead at the scene.
