ATLANTA, GA — Families with children receiving medical care in Atlanta now have a larger free place to stay right next to the hospital. The new Ronald McDonald House offers 110 rooms and 18 transplant suites, giving parents and caregivers a nearby home base while their children are treated.
The $90 million facility is designed to ease one of the hardest parts of a medical crisis: being far from home while still needing to stay close to a child’s bedside. In addition to lodging, the house provides meals and transportation, helping families focus more on care and less on logistics.
