ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) – A Marietta man who doesn’t trust the cloud with his family’s photos and files said he’s paying the price for keeping everything on a physical hard drive instead, after the manufacturer accused him of using a counterfeit product and denied his warranty claim.
Tony Le, who holds a doctorate in computer science, bought a Western Digital 5-terabyte portable hard drive on Amazon. The drive carried a two-year limited warranty, but Le said it failed after less than a year.
