Suspect identified in Cobb jail attack that injured sheriff’s deputy

Court documents identify Anthony Peacock Rumbel, a wanted murder suspect from Tennessee, as the inmate charged with attacking a Cobb Sheriff’s Office deputy at the county jail Friday.

The attack — which occurred at approximately 11:45 a.m. — left the deputy with a broken jaw and a concussion, according to a news release from the Cobb Sheriff’s Office.
