Officials: 2 killed after hydroplaning crash on I-85 in Franklin County

FRANKLIN COUNTY, Ga. (FOX Carolina) – Two Roswell residents were killed Saturday afternoon when their car hydroplaned on Interstate 85, according to Georgia State Patrol officials.

Officials said troopers from Post 52 in Hartwell responded around 12:47 p.m. to a single-vehicle crash near mile marker 167.

Investigators said a white 2020 Toyota Camry was traveling north in the right lane when it hydroplaned, causing the driver to lose control, leave the east shoulder of the roadway and strike a tree head-on…
