On Tuesday evening, the Los Angeles Lakers had a disappointing 138-122 loss to the Atlanta Hawks at State Farm Arena.
They had been coming off a 135-119 loss to the Houston Rockets, so it’s been two 16-point losses in a row ( Anthony Davis did not play against the Hawks).
After the game, head coach Darvin Ham met with the media and shared a bold statement (h/t Spectrum SportsNet ).
Ham: “Having a back-to-back, no AD, it’s different circumstances that you can use them as excuses, or you can say, hey, the whole league goes through it. We gotta look ourselves in the mirror and man the hell up.”
Austin Reaves led the team with 28 points, six rebounds and two steals while shooting 10/19 from the field and 3/8 from the three-point range in 32 minutes of playing time.
With the loss, the Lakers dropped to 24-25 in their first 49 games, which has them as the ninth seed in the Western Conference.
They are in the middle of a two-game losing streak and are 5-5 over their last ten games.
