South Fulton Police Detain 19 in Response to Gunshots, Investigate Potential Sex Trafficking

SOUTH FULTON, Ga. – In a concerning development, South Fulton police responding to reports of gunshots at a residence have detained 19 individuals, launching an investigation into the possibility of sex trafficking. This incident occurred in South Fulton, located approximately 20 miles southwest of Atlanta.

Upon arrival at the scene, officers found numerous women at the home, with ages ranging from 16 to about 40 years old. The police action was prompted by neighbors’ complaints about the house being used for parties, which escalated to concerns about potential sex trafficking activities. South Fulton Police Chief Keith Meadows mentioned that the residence was advertised for a “sex party” this weekend, fueling the suspicions of illegal activities.

Chief Meadows indicated that nearly all of those detained did not reside at the home, and two individuals were found to have active warrants. The intervention by the police has been met with gratitude from local residents, who have expressed relief at the police department’s actions in addressing a long-standing issue in their community.
