Surely you’ve seen those green scooters and bikes dotting the Atlanta landscape for some time now. There’s mixed feelings about them for sure, but I for one am a fan on the right occasion. They can be a lot of fun, and a great transportation resource for getting you that “last mile”.
But there’s another reason to start tapping into the Lime scooter and bike rental culture. Lime has formed a partnership with a very respected, and crucial Atlanta non-profit that’s dedicated to nurturing Atlanta youth – and your Lime ride can help.
On January 30th ATL Lime riders will have the option of rounding-up their fare in support of Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Metro Atlanta. I’m a big fan of Big Brothers/Big Sisters having recently worked with them on a holiday event. Their mission statement is simple – “Create and support one-to-one mentoring relationships that ignite the power and promise of youth”. That’s fantastic in and of itself, but in reality their programs encompass much, much more.
The Big Brothers/Big Sisters I just visited had a host of youth recreational sports leagues, art classes, community outreaches and more. It’s a great organization to get to know and volunteer your funds and efforts.
