Two Mableton teenagers were arrested on charges of bringing handguns to Pebblebrook High School on Jan. 31, a Wednesday.
Malik Ta’Veon Watkins, 18, and Heaven Marrow, 17, allegedly brought the guns, one of them stolen, to the school, according to criminal warrants.
Both are out on bond after serving one day each, according to jail records. Watkins’ bond was set at $5,000, while Marrow’s bond was set at $15,000.
Watkins allegedly entered the Pebblebrook campus and placed a loaded Glock 44 .22 caliber handgun into Marrow’s backpack, with the intention of concealing the gun from staff. The warrants also state that Watkins allegedly entered the school with a second gun with intentions of concealing it. The handgun was checked through the Georgia Crime Information Center, where it was reported as stolen by the Atlanta Police, according to criminal warrants.
Both have been charged with two counts of felony carrying weapons within school safety zone and one count of felony theft by receiving firearm, according to police reports.
