DeKalb County has taken a similar stance by prohibiting smoking in county government buildings and private office buildings and restaurants within its jurisdiction. This decision, passed by the DeKalb County Commission, underscores a commitment to public health, albeit with some voicing concerns over government overreach and the impact on private businesses.
