- Delta passengers received a free Virgin Voyages cruise from San Juan on a recent flight.
- Founder Richard Branson appeared at the airport in Atlanta to deliver the surprise.
- The free Caribbean voyage was offered to all adult Sky Miles members aboard the flight.
Delta passengers on a flight from Atlanta to San Juan on February 29 found out they’d be getting a free trip back to the Caribbean destination later this year.
And this time, for a luxury, adults-only cruise on board Virgin Voyages’ Resilient Lady — named the best new ship by Cruise Critic’s editors in 2023 — a Delta representative told Business Insider in an email.
With a team of Virgin staff members by his side, the cruise line’s founder, Richard Branson, showed up at the gate at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport in a red-and-black tailcoat suit over an untucked white button-down and a bold, black top hat — exuding a Willy Wonka vibe.
