A pair of New York state champions from Capital Region BOCES are on their way to Atlanta this week to represent the region and state at the national SkillsUSA competition. Jacob Alaimo, a Cosmetology senior from the Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk (RCS) Central School District, and Liam Pierce, a Network Technology senior from Niskayuna Central School District, won their respective job-skill competitions last month at the state SkillsUSA competition in Syracuse. To do so, they beat out dozens of other students from all over New York vying to be the best in the state.
