Suspects Apprehended in Marietta Park Kidnapping and Carjacking Near Local Child Education Center

On November 30, a violent carjacking and kidnapping occurred at Fair Oaks Park in Marietta, Cobb County, sparking grave concern among local residents and authorities. The victim, Cesar Murillo-Murillo, was assaulted and abducted at gunpoint by two individuals. According to FOX 5 Atlanta, Edwin Flores Jr. discharged a weapon during the altercation, fortunately not hitting Murillo-Murillo, before restraining and kidnapping him.

Both suspects involved in the incident have been apprehended by Cobb County police. Edwin Flores Jr., 18, and Nahomi Flores, 24, were arrested following the crime. According to Atlanta News First, the victim managed to escape and sought help at a restaurant on Austell Road. This case, as reported, was not a random attack, as the victim allegedly knew at least one of the assailants before the incident.

Police have pressed multiple charges against Flores Jr., including aggravated assault, kidnapping, possession of a firearm or knife by a felon, and hijacking of a motor vehicle.
