Georgia food banks may need to help in case of government shutdown

ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) – Friday is the deadline for Congress to avoid a government shutdown.

The federal spending bill includes appropriations for critical services that Georgians rely on. Not to mention, Georgia has more than 77,000 civilian federal employees who stand to lose a paycheck if the government shuts down.
