ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) – An EF-0 tornado touched down in Fayette County on Sunday morning during a line of intense storms, the National Weather Service (NWS) confirmed.
The funnel was east of Starrs Mill and southwest of Woolsey around Acton Drive in Fayetteville with estimated wind speeds of 80 mph. The NWS is also expected to conduct surveys in Coweta and Meriwether to see if any other tornadoes spawned.
