Security Guard Indicted in Buckhead Highrise Murder of 90-Year-Old Resident

A tragic turn of events unfolded a couple of months back at the Marian Road Highrise in Buckhead, culminating in a grand jury indictment of 65-year-old Janet Williams, a security guard at the senior citizen housing facility. FOX 5 Atlanta reports Williams is charged with the murder of a 90-year-old resident, found stabbed to death on September 24. Her indictment not only covers murder but also aggravated assault alongside the exploitation and intimidation of an elderly person.

Williams was arrested and has remained in Fulton County jail since the incident. The victim, Chun-ki Kim, led a life bridging the expanse between South Korea and Atlanta before his abrupt ending—given evidence of Williams’ peculiar behavior, as first detailed in surveillance footage from the elevator and later her proximity to the probing eyes of police at the scene. Before being captured on camera, Kim was last seen headed to his apartment, only to be discovered lifeless the following morning by his caregiver.

According to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, the only items missing from Kim’s apartment were a wallet and an Atlanta Braves cap. In a striking display of audacity, Williams allegedly approached Kim’s devastated family members, offering condolences and hugs as they mourned, obligations no one had assigned her, yet she took upon herself to bear. She purportedly expressed to them, “Your father was such a wonderful person and I don’t know why this happened.”…
