ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) – The nation is reacting to the death of former President Jimmy Carter on Sunday.
President Joe Biden has ordered a state funeral for Carter, the nation’s 39th president whose death at the age of 100 was announced by the Carter Center.
“Today, America and the world lost an extraordinary leader, statesman, and humanitarian,” Biden said. “Over six decades, we had the honor of calling Jimmy Carter a dear friend.
