Atlanta cancer survivor riding on float in Rose Parade

Watching the Rose Parade is one the nation’s favorite New Year’s Day traditions and one Atlanta cancer survivor is getting as up close to the parade as possible: on a float.

City of Hope, one of the largest cancer research centers across the U.S., will feature an Atlanta woman on its float in the Pasadena, California parade.

Julianna Ferrone was diagnosed with Stage 3 cervical cancer in July 2020. Despite a hysterectomy, appendectomy and four rounds of chemotherapy, Ferrone’s cancer came back two years later…
