Gwinnett County Police are currently investigating what they suspect to be a murder-suicide case in Duluth. According to information released by the department, officers responded to a call for a welfare check around 10:30 pm on Thursday at an apartment located at 1655 Centerview Drive after family members expressed concern for an uncle they had not heard from in several days.
The call for a welfare check was prompted by a disturbing message, deemed by one of the relatives to potentially be a suicide note from their uncle. Upon arrival, officers found the doors to be secured from within, leading them to forcefully gain entry into the home. Inside, they discovered two bodies: an adult female and an adult male.
