DeKalb County Announces Free Hazardous Waste Recycling Event for Residents on March 15th

DeKalb County is rolling up its sleeves for another round of toxin wrangling with its spring household hazardous waste recycling event slated for March 15. According to a recent announcement by the DeKalb County Sanitation Division, the event will be offering a hazard-free haven from 8 a.m. to noon for locals looking to safely eject their domestic dangers.

Residents can kiss goodbye to a plethora of pesky products including aerosols, batteries, adhesives, all things flammable, as well as lawn care products, among others. A note of caution though, there’s a cap on good intentions with paint drop-offs being limited to 10 gallons per vehicle. The disposal dance isn’t open for all comers; agricultural wastes, ammunition, radioactive junk, pharmaceuticals, and any biohazards need not apply…
