Two men were arrested Tuesday on a slew of charges, including murder and gang counts, in connection with a July 2024 shooting that left two 13-year-old boys dead and another boy injured, Atlanta police announced.
Those suspects, Ali Caldwell, 33, and Tradon Crawford, 32, join five others accused of the crime who were already in custody, Atlanta police Chief Darin Schierbaum said at a news conference Wednesday afternoon. All seven men were charged after a monthslong wiretap investigation into the shooting that killed Lamon Freeman and Jakody Davis, police said.

The seven suspects are accused of participating in a gang dispute stemming from an Atlanta rapper’s choice to shoot a music video in a rival gang’s territory, according to Maj. Ralph Woolfolk of the APD’s violent crime interdiction section.
