Franklin Delano Houston, 36, of Atlanta, is accused of possessing a jail made weapon, known as a shank, in his housing bunk on Feb. 23 at 11:15 a.m. at the Cobb County Adult Detention Center, according to an arrest warrant from the Cobb County Police Department.
The weapon was approximately five inches in length with sharpened tip. Multiple items with Houston’s ID number and name displayed were located in the same area as the weapon was found, according to the warrant.
