Multiple lanes of I-75 southbound shut down in Clayton County due to police activity

ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) – Interstate 75 in Clayton County is backed up for miles due to police activity.

All southbound lanes were shut down as of 9:45 a.m. near Jonesboro Road. By 10:15 a.m., authorities were letting some vehicles by in the far left lane. By 11:15 a.m., more lanes reopened.

Clayton County Sheriff Levon Allen says that someone jumped off the bridge and caused a “major accident.” He said the person who jumped survived and was taken to Grady Hospital…
