Woman Charged with Drive by Shooting in Powder Springs

Jazmin Perez, 25, of Hampton, is accused of driving by a Powder Springs residence and firing a gun that struck the home multiple times on Oct. 11, 2024 at 7:23 p.m. Inside the home were several adults and a 15-year-old girl, according to an arrest warrant from the Cobb County Police Department.

There was extensive damage done to the residence’s windows, exterior walls, interior walls and furniture, according to the warrant. The girl continues to have nightmares and does not want to go home due to the trauma.

Perez is charged with 10 counts of aggravated assault weapons; two counts of cruelty to children – first degree; and criminal damage – second degree. She was arrested on April 9 at 7:35 p.m. and booked into the Cobb County Adult Detention Center, according to jail records…
