Veteran Atlanta country radio personality dies

ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) – A metro Atlanta radio personality who entertained listeners for decades has died, according to one of his former stations.

William Choate, better known as “Cadillac Jack,” was a morning show host on Kicks 101.5, now known as New Country 101-Five, for 25 years. He most recently was an afternoon host with The Bear 92.5 from 2021 to 2024.

Outside the country radio community, Choate was also a co-host of the Macy’s Great Tree lighting, which was discontinued in 2023.
