Atlanta Police Charge Suspects in Southwest Atlanta January Homicide, Investigation Ongoing

Authorities have recently provided an update on the homicide investigation from a January shooting in southwest Atlanta. Kamari White has been transferred from Coweta County Jail to Fulton County Jail in relation to a fatal shooting that took place at 1965 Rambling Drive SW. The incident, which occurred on January 29, left one male victim dead from an apparent gunshot wound. In a statement obtained by Atlanta Police Department, White is currently being charged with murder and criminal attempt to commit a felony.

The Atlanta Police Department’s A.P.E.X. unit and the Zone 3 Crime Suppression Unit were involved in the arrest of Jeremiah Oliver on February 15, after homicide detectives named him as a suspect. Reports confirm that Mr. Oliver was wanted for charges that include murder, aggravated assault, and the criminal attempt to commit armed robbery. Despite the need to quickly act, the investigative units were able to carefully coordinate to apprehend Oliver, ensuring he was promptly transported to the Fulton County Jail.

The initial call to the scene on January 29 came at approximately 8:59 p.m., where responding officers discovered the male victim critically wounded. Despite medical efforts, the individual was pronounced deceased at the location.
