Some brand new previews for Orbx’s Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (KATL) have just been shared by the team. This rendition of Atlanta’s airport comes from famed developer Matteo Veneziani, who is known for his Sacramento (KSMF), Burbank Hollywood (KBUR) and Olbia airports (LEIO).
The new previews give us a good look at the impressive 3D modelling on the multiple terminal buildings, the trina line, and also the airtrain. We also get some landslide shots, plus a look at some of the detailing that is going into recreating the roof of some of the terminals.
When the project was announced back in February, we were also given a look at the feature list. As a reminder, there will be 3D lighting and taxi signage, along with animated Atlanta SkyTrain and Atlanta Metro Trains. Expect detailed interior modelling, custom GSE equipment, animated jetways, and correct gate assignments. Overall, Matteo is promising a high-quality rendition of the world’s busiest airport. The airport is being designed to be the correct layout as it is today…
