With no child access prevention laws, Georgia has some of the most unintentional shootings by children in the nation

STATESBORO, Ga. (WTOC) – The death of a 4-year-old boy on Thursday is the fourth instance of an unintentional shooting by a child in the State of Georgia this year, according to data from Everytown for Gun Safety.

The three other incidents happened in Atlanta, Hampton, and Harlem. The children involved in those shootings range in age from three to seven years old. In two cases, the children shot themselves. In one, the child accidentally shot their sibling. None of the incidents lead to deaths.
