Popular Atlanta Mexican Restaurant Tacos & Tequilas Closed Temporarily After Early Morning Fire

A Mexican eatery in Atlanta will be seeing a pause in service following an incident this past weekend. Tacos & Tequilas Mexican Grill, a dining staple on Ponce de Leon Avenue, experienced a fire early Sunday morning, leading to a temporary closure for damage assessment and repairs.

As flames erupted in the ventilation system around 4 a.m., the fire quickly spread to the building’s roof, Atlanta fire officials reported. Firefighters utilized a ladder truck to access the affected area, cutting open part of the establishment to extinguish the fire, which fortunately, did not inflict major damage on the premises, and did not result in any injuries, as reported by FOX 5 Atlanta.
