Clayton County Officer’s Keen Observation Skills Lead to Felony Arrest, Drug, and Gun Seizure

A routine traffic stop by Officer K. Pullins on May 31, 2025, led to the arrest of a convicted felon and the seizure of illegal drugs and firearms, according to the Clayton County Police Department.

Officer Kyler Pullins, from Sector 3, was on patrol on Tara Boulevard near Robert E. Lee Parkway when he noticed a silver Honda Accord with a malfunctioning headlight. During the traffic stop, Officer Pullins observed suspicious movements from the driver and quickly spotted a handgun in plain view on the back seat, despite the driver’s denial of a firearm in the vehicle.

A subsequent background check confirmed the driver was a convicted felon with prior firearm-related offenses. Officer Pullins safely detained the individual without incident.
