Cobb County District Attorney Sonya F. Allen announced that 29-year-old Jalen Ferebee has pleaded guilty in connection to a violent assault and robbery that left a man with serious injuries. Cobb Superior Court Judge Kellie S. Hill sentenced Ferebee to 20 years, with 10 years to serve in prison and the remainder on probation.
The incident occurred on March 29, 2023, after the 28-year-old victim left Monkey Barrel Bar in Marietta without his phone. Seeking help, he approached Ferebee and co-defendant Courtney Davis, who agreed to drive him to his car, located about 20 minutes away, for a $20 fee.
When they arrived at the destination, both suspects exited the vehicle and assaulted the victim, inflicting injuries that required two oral reconstructive surgeries, including a bone graft.
