Family to sue for wrongful death of father, grandfather and great-grandfather, at Piedmont Rockdale

ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) – A grieving family is now planning to file a lawsuit, claiming doctors gave their family member, Albert Johnson, too much of a drug that is supposed to help his seizures. The man died at Piedmont Rockdale after the family said he had been taking the drug his entire life. The family alleges and his medical records, provided to Atlanta News First, show that the doctors prescribed Albert three times his daily amount for several days.

Family told Atlanta News First they did not know he was being given three times his daily amount until after his death. They also claim they spoke up to doctors more than once about his dosage during his stay at Piedmont Rockdale.
