From parades to museums, hundreds celebrate Juneteenth across metro Atlanta

Across metro Atlanta and the rest of the country, people are celebrating Juneteenth on Thursday.

The holiday commemorates the day, June 19, 1865, that the last enslaved people in Galveston, Texas learned of their freedom through the Emancipation Proclamation.
