After being arrested earlier this month in Atlanta, LaGarrion Blacksmith, the suspect in a 2023 murder, has been extradited to Nashville. WSMV reports that Blacksmith, 36, faced charges including criminal homicide, attempted criminal homicide, and being a felon in possession of a weapon in the wake of the shooting death of Chancellor Eddins, 35, outside Trvth Lounge on Dickerson Pike in February 2023.
Eddins was discovered with multiple gunshot wounds outside the lounge, while a friend accompanying him sustained injuries from the same incident. The investigation, as detailed by WKRN, found that there had been an argument between Blacksmith and the two victims before the shooting occurred, a situation that ended fatally for Eddins and left his friend wounded.
Blacksmith’s arrest last Tuesday resulted from joint efforts between the Atlanta Police Department and the TITANS unit of the Metro Nashville Police Department. Charged in October 2023, he had been featured on MNPD’s “Most Wanted” list multiple times since November 2023.
