ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) – City leaders in Brookhaven said that they have not been in contact with Kroger after the announcement that the grocery retailer is closing 60 stores nationwide – including four in metro Atlanta.
The city’s Skye Hill store – nestled between the bustling Clairmont Road and Buford Highway thoroughfares – has been in operation since the 1970s.
“Brookhaven has not been notified by Kroger about closing the Skye Hill location, but we are nonetheless aware of this potential situation and take it very seriously,” a city spokesperson said…
