ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) – Three men have been convicted and sentenced to life in prison for killing a man during a 2021 drive-by shooting, according to the Cobb County District Attorney.
The district attorney said Brian Sclafford-Clemons, 37, was shot and killed on March 27, 2021, when two cars pulled up next to him on Austell Road and fired dozens of shots into his car. According to the district attorney, 26 9mm casings and a cartridge case were found at the scene; the only one that didn’t penetrate the car was one fired at the passenger door where Sclafford-Clemons’ 8-year-old daughter was sitting.
Jermari Ferron, Diomante Plummer and Claubert Mimy were later arrested and charged in connection with the shooting. During a search of their vehicles, the district attorney said investigators found a cartridge case identical to the one found at the scene of the shooting…
