Theft From KCSD Of $881,301.15. Charges Filed

LOCK HAVEN – Clinton County District Attorney Dave Strouse announced that a Georgia man has been apprehended in the city of Atlanta after authorities believe he was attempting to flee the country. On 06/03/25, Tpr. Christopher Moore filed charges against Dimiriafor Amamkwe, 52, of Atlanta, GA., for Theft by Unlawful Taking (Felony 1), Conspiracy to Commit Theft By Unlawful Taking (Felony 1), Knowledge That Property is Proceeds of Illegal Act (Felony 1), Conspiracy to Commit Access Device Fraud (Felony 3). The victim of the theft is Keystone Central School District. The total amount stolen was $881,302.15.

This crime occurred on or about 10/4/2024. Amamkwe is alleged to have orchestrated the theft by accessing the financial accounts of the school district unlawfully. The majority of the money was able to be recovered with the assistance of the State Police and bank officials. The Defendant was arrested at the Atlanta Airport…
